Thailand sees significant growth in the number of BEV registrations
With more car manufacturers launching new models, the number of newly registered battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in Thailand was seen to enjoy a significant growth. According to the Electric Vehicles Association of Thailand (EVAT), a total of 17,043 BEVs were registered, representing an increase of 16% from the previous quarter. The number of registrations had also surpassed the amount recorded for the year 2022.

VinFast’s EV sales in Vietnam continues to grow
VinFast in 2022 announced plans to phase out fossil fuel vehicles and to focus on production of battery electric vehicle (BEVs) by the end of the same year. Since then the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer had launched a series of BEV models in Vietnam. According to VinFast, for the first five months in 2023, the company’s total EV sales reached 8,483 units.
